this is a bit random, but my boyfriend and i have been looking to get a pug for a while and are a bit scared about the process of finding one that wont live at the hospital the second it starts to grow… how did you go about getting diego, and do you have any tips?

All I can say is that pugs are the greatest dogs. My husband and I just did a lot of research. We looked for a person who seemed to have a lot of experience with the breed, and was breeding for the love of the dogs. Also, the woman we got Diego from runs a rescue organization as well. She made is very clear that she has the welfare of her pugs in mind and that if we ever couldn’t take care of him that she would want him back. We haven’t had many problems with him health wise (except that he likes to put everything in his mouth, and that sometimes messes up his system). All in all, he’s a joy to have around. He’s goofy, and funny and loving. He has high energy sometimes, but lots of times he just likes to chill with us and the kitties. Pugs are the best!
